Basic Form 3 Chee Pen San Thau

This is the third form, for 8th ji yellow belts to learn for their 7th ji orange stripe belt. Open hand techniques are introduced in this form. It is important for students to learn how to shape their hands. Balance is tested in this form by the backward turn. At this stage they are learning the roundhouse kick. This combination starts with the punch first, whereupon the hip is positioned ready to deliver the kick. Students should concentrate on the fluidity of movement between the punch and the kick.
